Another Day, Another Blog! Hello reader👋🏻

Let me start by saying: I loved this hotel!

For the 2 weeks I was in London, I decided to stay in the city centre at Canopy by Hilton London City. And boy, it was worth every penny!

At checkin, the lovely staff asked if I was happy to be put in a high flow room as this meant there would be many stairs to come down in case of an emergency. I wanted a good view so I said that was fine. I would recommend leaving a request when booking if you want a low level floor, which I would do if I was travelling in my wheelchair.

I had a lovely room with a double bed and large single sofa bed (there were three of us) and a view of St. Paul’s Cathedral through the buildings. The view was lovely in the daytime but even better at night all lit up. There was a mini fridge, which was convenient when staying for a long period of time, and a bathroom with a walk in shower. I don’t think it would have had enough turning space for wheelchairs though.

If you book with breakfast included, there was a lot to choose from, including: cereal, toast, English muffins, and all the hot food too (eggs, bacon etc). Omelettes, pancakes etc available at an extra fee. The tables were laid out well and staff are very helpful, so don’t hesitate to ask for help!

The room service dinner has lots to choose from too! There were one or two nights that I just wanted to crawl into bed and watch Netflix on the room’s TV, so I ordered dinner to the room and was very happy with the quality. Highly recommend the pizza and halloumi sticks :)

Roof bar wasn’t ready yet at time of visit as it was still a fairly new build. I will happily visit again to try it out!

Would recommend and accessible rooms are available and can be booked when making a reservation online, on the Hilton app, or by calling the hotel directly!

My next blog (02/02/24) will be about Hyde Park, so come back then!
